Antoine Delaforterie 64, of Troy, passed away on Wednesday June 25, 2025, at home. Antoine was born January 21, 1961, in Roubaix, France, to parents Charles R. Delaforterie and Claudie P. Leenaert. Later in life Antoine gained a stepfather Lee Wilson.

Antoine grew up in NY where he enjoyed doing junior achievement, being a choirboy, sailing, and building models. He graduated from Elmira Free Academy before joining the Navy and serving as a submariner on the Henry L Stimson (SSBN 655) ballistic missile submarine. After active duty he retired into the reserves, was a part of a MIUW, and went on to earn an Associate's Degree from Corning Community College. He worked as an automotive designer for various companies, including Trico and Mobis Tech Center. More recently, Antoine worked for UPS, was passionately involved in Michigan Mushrooms Hunters Club, and still enjoyed a good cigar.

Antoine married Katherine H. Rollins on September 14, 2002 in East Sussex, England. Antoine is survived by his wife Katherine H. Delaforterie. mother Claudie Wilson, sister Virginie Delaforterie, brother Benjamin Wilson, 2 nieces (Breanna & Bernice Evans), 3 nephews (Paul and Nicholas Wilson, Wyatt Evans), and step brother Daniel S. Wilson. He is preceded in death by his father Charles Delaforterie, step father Lee Wilson and step brother Paul N. Wilson.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston. A Cemetery Service will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery on Monday, October 6, at 1:30pm. A Celebration of Life Luncheon will immediately follow at Holly Calvary Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project , P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516. Memories and condolences may be left on Antoine's online guestbook below.
