Archie W. Davenport

DAVENPORT, Archie W. "Chick" age 76 of Waterford, died peacefully with his family by his side on May 18, 2025. Loving husband of Sharon, father of Kenneth Sizemore and Bethany Sizemore, grandpa of Adrianna Sizemore and Craig Sizemore, great grandpa of Boston and Avayah, and brother of John Davenport. He also leaves behind his cherished family and friends of AA. Archie was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Ellen Davenport, and brother, Earl "Rusty" Davenport.

Archie proudly served his country in the United States Army. Upon returning home he would begin his career in the automotive industry working in tool and die, until his retirement. Archie loved working on cars, and rebuilt his 1962 Chevy Impala from the frame up. He could fix just about anything; and his true passion was cars. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, attending car shows, fixing cars, and was a member of the Late Great Chevy's Club. Archie was a proud member of AA for 44 years, and this is how friends became family. He was an avid bowler, liked to play poker, hunt, watch the Kentucky Derby, and his favorite vacation destination was New Orleans. Archie was a devoted and loving husband, dad, grandpa and friend who will be truly missed!

In accordance with Archie's wishes cremation has taken place. A Cemetery Service with Military Honors will be Tuesday, May 27, 2025, 11:00 am at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
