Barbara Parry Schroer

Barbara Parry Schroer passed away peacefully on March 4, 2024, at the home of her son,
Russell Parry and his wife, Frances Parry. Barbara was 93 years old at the time of her passing.

The daughter of Lyman and Marion Oehring of Saginaw, Michigan, Barbara was preceded in death by husbands Lewis Parry, Robert Schroer, and Robert Alter. She is survived by her four children: Jan Butterfield, Russell (Frances) Parry, Susan (David) Emmett, and Jeffrey (Dawn) Parry.In addition, Barbara leaves grandchildren: Ryan Jackson, Robert (Elizabeth) Cey, Jennifer (Jonathan) Zoltan, Samantha Parry, Lewis Parry, Nathan (Kathleen) Parry, Jessica Parry, and seven great grandchildren.

Barbara remained a devoted fan of the University of Michigan Wolverines throughout her life. After a successful teaching and counseling career in Royal Oak, she became an active member of Faith Presbyterian Church in St. Petersburg, Florida. Returning to Michigan in later years,she was escorted by her son, Russ, to Sunday services at Orchard Lake Community Church. Barbara will join Lew, her husband of 45 years and father of her children, on the grounds ofBirmingham First Presbyterian Church in a private ceremony of beloved family members.
