Barbara Wilson

With love and gratitude, we remember the life of Barbara Ann Wilson, 86, of Auburn Hills, Michigan, who fell asleep in death on September 13, 2025.

Barbara was born on April 2, 1939, in Michigan to William and Mabel Pyke, one of many siblings in a lively, hardworking family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Charles Wilson; and siblings Fran, Bernice, Harvey, Donald, Lorene, Gerald, Shirley, Jack, Norman, Robert, and Richard. She is survived by her sister Nancy, who will continue to treasure their family bond.

Barbara shared 58 loving years with her husband, Gordon Wilson, raising a family that became the joy of her life. She was a devoted mother to Mary (Jeffrey) Schubert, Elizabeth Sowder, Debra Wilson, Charles Wilson (deceased), and Holly Wilson.

Her heart expanded with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was Grandma to Jasmine (Justin) Weis, Victoria (Austin) Barron, and Andrew Sowder (Emily). She was Great-Grandma to Cody, Layla, Damian, Conner, Adam, Jackson, Penelope, and Daniel. Her family was her greatest blessing, and she found joy in every moment with them.

As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, Barbara's faith was an important part of her life. She drew comfort from scriptures such as Revelation 21:4, which speaks of a time when "death will be no more." Her confidence in the resurrection hope gave her strength and peace.

Barbara also had many passions that brought her joy. She loved flowers and birds, filling her home and yard with beauty and life. She was a skilled quilter and seamstress, leaving behind works of art stitched with care. And she loved food, whether cooking for her family, baking a treat, or sitting down to a meal together, she cherished the fellowship around the table.

In harmony with her wishes, no service will be held.

Barbara will be remembered for her faith, her love for family, and the simple joys she found in the life she lived. Her memory will continue to be a source of comfort and strength to all who knew and loved her.
