Bettie Sue Lafnear-Schauer

LAFNEAR-SCHAUER, Bettie Sue; born on July 7, 1953 in Pontiac; of Gaines; passed away on April 8, 2024 after a very brief battle with cancer at the age of 70;

wife of Oscar "Rocky" Schauer; mother of Shawna (Adam Miller) Lafnear; grandma of David (Kelsey Campbell) Jennings; Skylar (Andy Anderson) Essiambre and Samantha Miller; great grandma of Avery Anderson; sister of Keith Nealis, Rebecca Chambers and Kimberly Lafnear-Newsome; also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and lifelong friend, Denise Ushery; preceded in death by her parents: Gerald and Margaret Lafnear and her siblings: James (Margo) Laner, Kathy Lafnear, Margaret (Russ) Borg and Donna Sauro.

Bettie enjoyed traveling and visiting casinos. She appreciated nature and liked spending time at home gardening. Bettie will be remembered for her generosity and her love of all animals.

Friends may visit Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston on Friday, April 19th from 4:00pm-8:00pm.

Memorial Service Saturday, April 20th at 12:30pm at the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston.

Memorials may be made to Oakland County Animal Shelter and Pet Adoption Center or St Jude Children's Research Hospital .
