Betty was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 7, 1938. She met the love of her life at Cass Technical High School in English class, later graduating from Wayne State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She was an elementary school teacher for several years. After her children were born, Betty became a full-time homemaker. She was very hospitable and encouraging, and loved being with family and friends. Betty was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, and enjoyed being a part of the Holy Cross Classic Cruisers with her husband Fred and their "bronze fleet." Most importantly, she was trusting in Jesus Christ alone as Savior for eternal life. She is now safe in the arms of Jesus forever.
The funeral will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church (30003 Ryan Road, Warren, MI 48092) on Saturday, June 3, 2023 with visitation at 10 am and service at 11 am, followed by a luncheon.
A private burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Detroit at a later date.
Arrangements entrusted to Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston.
Donations may be made in Betty's honor to:
