Betty Sue Collins

COLLINS, Betty Sue; of Waterford, formerly of Bloomfield Hills; born on August 16, 1941, to Joseph and Susan Cochrane in Pontiac; passed away on October 19, 2026, at the age of 85.

Reunited with her husband of 55 years Lee Collins; Loving mother of Michelle (Justin) Van Zweden and Lisa (Jack) Parker; Proud grandmother of Gabriella White and Jakob Van Zweden; Sister of Peggy (late Gary) Root.

Betty worked as a tax preparer and dedicated 30 years of hard work and commitment to H&R Block. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, especially trips to Mackinaw, visiting the casino, reading, playing the piano, and going for walks. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was a devoted churchgoer who found joy in singing in the church choir. Above all, she cherished her family and friends and was so incredibly proud of her two grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother, loving grandmother, and dear friend. She will be deeply missed by all those who loved her.
