Betty Fay Warden

WARDEN, Betty Fay; age 80; of White Lake; passed away on August 7, 2021 at home surrounded by her family.  Betty was born September 22, 1940, and was the 4 ^th of 12 children born to the late Amanda and Dillard Brewer.  She would have celebrated her 61 ^st wedding anniversary with her husband Lee on September 24, 2021. Betty was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  She spent many years raising her family before beginning a career in cosmetology.   She was beloved for her skills as a hairstylist and manicurist, but even more so for her willingness to listen and offer council to her clients.  After retiring to Northern Michigan, she began a second career as a blackjack dealer where she loved confusing players by swapping tables with her identical twin Bonnie.  Betty loved bowling, cooking and gardening and never missed an opportunity to share the bounty from her kitchen and vegetable garden.  She also loved hosting extended family gatherings along with her sister at their next-door homes in East Jordan, MI.  She reveled in the fun had by all as they celebrated family ties with great food, good laughs, Bean Bag games, and Karaoke.

She is preceded in death by her siblings: Anna Marie, Janet, Dixie, Bob and her twin sister and best friend, Bonnie.  Betty is survived by her loving husband, Leon Clark Warden; her children: Lee (Beth) Warden, Greg (Brenda) Warden, Robin Warden (Karen), Mark Warden and her grandchildren: Chris Warden (Kate), Kyle Warden (Meagan), Carly Schiro (Anthony), Molly Warden(Nolan DeJong), Griffin Warden, Mark Warden, Kaitlin Warden, Austin Race and a great-grandson, Kole Warden.  Betty is also survived by her sisters: Margaret, Pauline, Nina, Judy, Cindy and Sharon.

Friends may visit Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston on Tuesday, Aug 10 ^th from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm. Funeral Service Wednesday, Aug 11 ^th at 10:00 am at the funeral home.
