TRAFFENSTEDT, Bobby Dean "Trapper"; of Clarkston, Michigan; born February 14, 1954 in Heflin, Alabama to Floyd Traffenstedt and Susie Butler; passed away on May 31, 2023 at the age of 69; steadfast husband of Robin; loving father of Chelsea (Brian) Traffenstedt and Corey Mayer; devoted grandfather "Papa Trap" of Charlee Rae, Philomena Mae, Vida Rose and Maverick Ryder Dean; brother of Kenneth Johnson, Jerry "Wayne" (Caroline) Johnson, Glenda (Rick) Bannister and Robin "Pete" Johnson; preceded in death by his siblings: Mary Domergue, Jean Feldbush and Rebecca Bragg.
Bobby was nicknamed "Trapper" way back in the day and it followed him throughout his entire life; also lovingly called "Hillbilly Bob" by his General Motors family. Bob had a personality that was one of a kind and shined brightly every time he walked into a room. He started his career with General Motors in 1977 and retired from the Flint Assembly Plant in 2017. After 40 years of service within the company "Hillbilly" enjoyed his job and deeply appreciated the camaraderie and many close friendships he gained with his fellow employees over the years. His love of all things loud ran deep within his soul, especially his beloved 1962 Ford Falcon Futura 427 big block hot rod that he enjoyed driving during the Woodward Dream Cruise. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with family. His love ran deep for his wife Robin as they have been together since 1972 and she was his one true love, other than the hot rod. He cherished his daughter, Chelsea and his son, Corey. He felt truly blessed to be able to be the best loving Papa to his three beautiful granddaughters and his handsome grandson that luckily shares his Papa's beautiful bright blue eyes. He was truly cherished and will be missed deeply by his wife, children and grandchildren. ROLL TIDE!
