Bradley Orlin Baker, of Clarkston, Michigan, passed away on October 27, 2026, at age 74. Born on February 29, 1952, in Elwood, Indiana, Brad was the beloved husband of Marilyn for 47 years; loving father of Matthew Baker (Danielle) and Kayla Mosher (Myles); proud grandfather of Vivienne and Arthur; and brother of Benay Donaldson, Gail Stauber, and Lois Werner. He was also forever grateful to Bessie Montante, his kidney donor and “kidney bro,” whose extraordinary gift gave him nearly 10 more years of life.
Brad retired from Oakland County Parks & Recreation after 38 years of service. He had a larger-than-life personality and a love of laughter, friendship, and storytelling. A friend to many, he was always organizing social events and trips, bringing people together and creating lasting memories. He especially treasured time with his extended family and was an enthusiastic sports fan.
To many who knew him, Brad was a legend. His warmth and gregarious spirit left an outsized impact on their lives, and his stories will be shared and cherished for years to come.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 16, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church.
