O’Connell Mitchell, Carol E.; of Ortonville formerly of Rochester;

Born April 12, 1963 in Pontiac to John Patrick and Patricia O’Connell;

Passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on July 24, 2026; age 63.

Wife of Ric. Mother of Hannah and Nathan Mitchell.

Baby sister of Rick (Susie) O’Connell, Jan (Ken) Caldwell, Joan (Vic) Chiasson, Tim (Lin) O’Connell and Tricia (late Christopher King) O’Connell.

Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Carol graduated from Avondale High School in 1981. She was a talented musician and actress. Carol enjoyed participating in the Renaissance Festival where she served the Royal Court. She helped in the food pantry at Lakeview Community Church, Goodrich and  loved animals.

A celebration gathering is being planned for Saturday, August 15th (time & location pending and will be announced).

Arrangements entrusted to Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston.

Memorials may be made to Canine Companions Rescue Center.
