Carrie Elizabeth Moody

MOODY, Carrie E. (Dawson); of Clarkston formerly of Ortonville; passed away July 27, 2024 after a long battle with ALS ; age 53;

wife of James Moody; mother of Marion Walters; daughter of Nancy Dawson; sister of Jim (Michelle) Dawson Jr.; preceded in death by her father Jim Dawson in 2021; stepmother of Carson Zitta and Alyssa Moody; grandma of Royce; aunt of Samuel, Maxwell and Ava Donnelly; also survived by many loving and dear aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Carrie graduated from Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic High School, Waterford in 1988 and earned a Bachelor's Degree from Michigan State University. She was a talented gymnast, having competed since childhood and participating on the Spartan Team in college. She enjoyed golfing and was a dedicated fan watching her daughter compete on the swim team. Carrie was director of Human Resources at Cadillac Packaging Projects, Troy. She enjoyed working out and running. Carrie will be remembered for having fun, dancing, loving music and attending many concerts. She will also be missed by the family dog, Chico.

Friends may visit Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston on Wednesday, July 31st from 4:00pm-8:00pm.

Scripture service at the funeral home with open sharing Wednesday at 6:00pm.

Funeral Mass Thursday, August 1st at 10:00am at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, Waterford with visiting at the church at 9:30am.

Rite of Committal All Saints Cemetery, Waterford.

Memorials may be made to ALS of Michigan .
