Chester Gilbert Pendred

PENDRED, Chester Gilbert; of Grand Blanc formerly of Ecorse; born August 31, 1930 in River Rouge; passed away on March 29, 2025 at the age of 94;

uncle of Harry "Skip" (Cathi) Pendred, Rick Pendred and the late Bonnie (late Jim) Weir; also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins; brother of the late Harry Richard (late Donna) Pendred;

preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Iva Drouillard, and his girlfriend Ellie.

Chester served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He retired as an electrician from Great Lakes Steel. He enjoyed golfing and was very athletic, having worked out nearly every day at the YMCA in Wyandotte.

Cemetery Services with Military Honors at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly on Friday, April 11th at 2:30pm. Please arrive at the cemetery staging area at 2:15pm.
