Christian “Chris” Krueger, 81, of Clarkston, Michigan, passed away on June 22, 2026.
Born on July 31, 1944, Chris was the youngest son of Roy and Geraldine Krueger. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Sally Wilson; his brother, Fritz Krueger; and his sister-in-law, Doris Krueger.
Chris lived a life filled with lasting friendships and a love of sports. He was a devoted fan of Sashabaw Junior High, Clarkston High School, and, most especially, the Michigan Wolverines. He loved jazz music and enjoyed traveling, including memorable trips to Copenhagen and New York City. An artist at heart, Chris found inspiration in nature and expressed it through his artwork.
A beloved uncle, Chris touched the lives of many through his compassion, wisdom, and unwavering support.
Chris spent his career as a Math teacher for 44 years. His students would know him as part of the “Dynamic Duo” along with Tim Kaul, shaping young minds and inspiring generations of students. Teaching was his passion. He was known for being tough but always fair, and he genuinely cared about helping his students learn and succeed.
Outside of work, Chris cherished time with friends and family. He considered the friends he made at the Lion’s Den, where he frequently dined, to be an extension of his family.
Chris found great joy in the traditions he created for those he loved—from preparing sandwiches for Michigan tailgates to making pigs in a blanket every Christmas. He delighted in giving lottery tickets to family members and created countless cherished memories that will be treasured for years to come.
He is survived by his brother, Jon (Karen) Krueger, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. His caregiver Evan Tarp was a lifeline for Chris helping him live how he wanted. He will be missed beyond measure by all who knew and loved him.
Those who knew Chris will remember that he was always there when someone needed support, encouragement, or a helping hand. His legacy of kindness, loyalty, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Go Blue, Chris.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
