Colleen Smith

SMITH, Colleen; of Waterford, formerly of Flushing; passed away on July 22, 2026, surrounded by her family; age 84.

Reunited with her husband James Smith; Beloved mother of Michael Smith, Gary Smith, and Charles (Kathy) Smith; Proud grandmother of Michael, David, Matt, Bradley, and Katey; Great grandmother of Colet, Sasha, Miles, Josie, and Kepler; Sister of Dean (late Mary) Adams; Cousin of Susan Bartle. She was preceded in death by parents, Dean and Marie Adams, and brother Barry (Lisa) Adams. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Colleen graduated from Pontiac Northern in 1959. She continued to remain in touch with her classmates serving as the reunion coordinator; working on the committee was her biggest social joy. She cherished the frequent meet ups getting together. Colleen was also an active member of the Lambda Chi Omega Sorority. In her free time, she had a special interest in researching genealogy. Colleen was also a participant in the Daughters of the Civil War and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending the winter months in the South. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Friends may visit Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston Sunday, July 26th at 12 Noon followed by funeral service at 1:00pm. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Judes Children Research Hospital.
