Darrel L. Williams

WILLIAMS, Darrel L.; born September 10, 1943 in Pontiac to Sherman and Gladys Williams; of Clarkston; passed away on September 13, 2024 at the age of 81;

high school sweetheart/husband of Faye (nee Jenks) for 62 years; father of Kevin (late Kristin) Williams, Keri Ewald, Bill Kruger, Wade (Amy) Williams, Courtney (Jovica) Todorovski, Alexis (Scott) Miles, Michael Williams and Samantha Williams; preceded in death by his sons Travis and Billy Williams; also survived by 23 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; brother of Dennis (Denise) Williams, David (Ida) Williams, the late Lois McAboy and the late Robert Williams; brother in law of Andrea (the late Thomas) Wyman and the late Brianne Jenks Smith; also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Darrel graduated from Clarkston High School in 1963, where he was an accomplished athlete. He retired from Pontiac Motor Pressed Metal and served Independence Parks & Recreation for 10 years. Darrel was well known as "Coach Williams" from coaching Clarkston Chiefs Football since 1971; he also coached girl's softball and boy's baseball. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and playing softball.

Friend's may visit Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston on Monday, September 23rd from 3:00pm-8:00pm.
