David Moffat Gray Ii

GRAY, David Moffat II, of Clarkston, formerly Bloomfield Hills, died peacefully October 5, 2025, surrounded by family after celebrating his 91st birthday.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 62 years, Claretta, dear children, David III (Tina) Gray and Kim St. Amour (John Testasecca), five adored grandchildren, Mitchell (Samantha) St. Amour, Tyler St. Amour, Elayna St. Amour, David M. Gray IV, and Lochlan T. Gray, and adored sister, Nancy (the late Richard) Euler. He was preceded in death by his parents, Moffat and Bertha Gray.

David worked as an engineer for GM, retiring with 37 years of service. He had a love for cars, hot rods, and snowmobiles, and could build them from the ground up. He enjoyed traveling, working on his cars, and spending time at his second home in Wolverine. David was an active volunteer for many years with the Furniture Bank of Metro Detroit, but his most important role was being a devoted and loving husband, dad, and grandpa, a role he adored!

David's family will receive friends at the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 11:30 am until the time of service at 12:30 pm. Burial will take place at White Chapel Cemetery at 2:00 pm, family will meet at the gate at 1:55 pm.
