David Charles Kunkle

KUNKLE, David Charles
Of Waterford, formerly of Clarkston. Born on September 15, 1958, to Charles and Rema Kunkle; passed away unexpectedly from natural causes on December 29, 2025, at the age of 67.

Dave was a devoted father to Jennifer Kunkle, Matthew (Yvette) Kunkle, and Travis Kunkle. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren Nolan, Anaya, Ulya, Ilia, Avin, Kyra, and Audrey. He was the cherished brother of Rita Hammond, the late Sandra LaDuc, and a brother-in-law to Kevin (Mary) LaDuc. Additionally, he was a proud uncle to Rev. Shaun LaDuc, Michelle (Michael) Dicea, Michael LaDuc, and Ronnie, Raymond, Kimberly, Renee, and the late Danny Biron.

A naturally talented musician, Dave was primarily a guitarist but also excelled on the bass guitar in the bands he played with over the years. He was mechanically inclined and a very skilled sider, showcasing his talents in various trades. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, woodworking and particularly loved remaking Hot Wheels cars into custom models.

Above all, Dave took pride in caring for his loved ones, and it's how he wished to be remembered.

Cremation services were entrusted to Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles at 5640 Maybee Road, Clarkston, MI 48346, from Noon to 4pm on Wednesday the 14th.  A short service will be held at 12:45pm.  All are welcome.
