Dennis Joel Fox

FOX, Dennis Joel; "Joe" to family and friends; born on July 11, 1943, in Pontiac, Michigan to John and Aileen (Jones) Fox; passed away on January 7, 2023, in Palm Harbor, Florida; preceded in death by his parents and brothers Jackie and Dale;

survived by his brothers: Eric R. Fox from Las Vegas, NV and Kim (Elaine) Fox from Weidman, MI. Joe is also survived by his soulmate/caretaker Betty Murdoch; a niece Jayne, and a nephew Josh.

Joe was employed by the General Motors truck facility in Pontiac. He retired from General Motors in 1992. His co-workers referred to him as "Denny". After retirement, Joe would spend his summers at Lake City, Michigan and his winters in Palm Harbor, making many more friends. Joe also served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran.

Joe's passion was his motorcycles, of which he had a collection. Joe would ride on trips with a group of buddies and/or alone to see the different parts of our country and the world. He would ride his bike between Lake City and Palm Harbor twice a year. Joe's last major excursion was in 2013, when he bought his new Harley and rode from Lake City to the west coast to see some old Army friends in

Tacoma, WA., visit a cousin in Sacramento, CA., his brother in Vegas, and then back to Palm Harbor.

Joe also loved his dogs. He had many through his lifetime; one of his last was Wheezy who would ride in a tank bag on Joe's motorcycle. Joe also enjoyed softball in his younger years and bowling of which he was proud to use his father's old ball participating with his friends in Palm Harbor until recently.

Joe will be missed by all that knew him. Rest in Peace, my brother.

Friends may visit Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston on Wednesday, January 18 ^th from 3:00pm-9:00pm.

Private interment will be in the family plot at Perry Mount Park Cemetery, Pontiac, MI.
