Dorothy Victoria Vandevelder

Dorothy Victoria VanDevelder (Hunt), 93, of Rochester Hills passed away peacefully on Saturday January 24, 2026.  Dorothy was born March 27, 1932 in Rockland Michigan, she was the daughter of Olga and William Hunt.

Dorothy lived a full life.  She enjoyed sewing, baking, all while raising 5 children in the Rochester area.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Edward VanDevelder of 63 years and her daughter Barbara Bahr who passed in 2020.

She is survived by her children Elizabeth  (Neil) Codd of Mass City, Edward  (Michele) VanDevelder of Clarkston, Antonia Hammond of Windsor CO, and Joseph VanDevelder of Rochester Hills, as well as 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and a sister Mary Verch of Ashland WI.

Cremation services and arrangements were entrusted to Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home.

A private memorial service will be held at a future date.
