Edward M. Gignac

GIGNAC, Edward M.; of Waterford; born on October 18, 1942 in Montreal , Quebec, Canada to Edward and Jessie Gignac; passed away peacefully of natural causes on January 23, 2025 at the age of 82;

husband of Kelli for 41 years; father of Kylie (Evan Sapp) Gignac, Mallory (Andrew) Chiesa, Heather (Dave) Sanders, Timothy (Kris) Gignac and David (Nancy) Gignac;

grandpa of Elsie Chiesa, Kamryn Gignac, Trever (Simone) Gignac & Justine (Kevin) Coppola;

great grandpa of many;

brother of Nancy Foubert and Peter (Brenda) Gignac; uncle of Drew Stilson, Derek Vusovich, Jen Shepley, Robert Foubert, Jacqueline Kurtyka, Devon and Aiden Scheick.

brother in law of Holly Scheick, Cherie Scheick, Suzanne Vusovich, Laurie Scheick and Patrick Scheick.

Ed spent over 50 years in the sporting goods industry, working at Griswold Sporting Goods, Official Sports and later starting his own company, Tri-County Custom Sports. He was a talented athlete, especially playing fast-pitch softball, golfing and bowling. He was very charitable and coached many youth sport teams. He enjoyed watching all sports and was an avid Detroit Tiger's fan. He often tried  his luck with the lottery. Most of all, Ed loved spending time with his family and friends.

A Memorial Celebration gathering will be Thursday, February 13th from 5:00pm-9:00pm at the Shark Club, 6665 Highland Road, Waterford 48327.

Services entrusted to Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston.
