Elizabeth M. Barnett

BARNETT (Nemec), Elizabeth Marie; of Groveland Twp; born August 28, 1940 in Detroit to Anna Marie & Joseph Nemec; passed away on Aug. 16, 2025; age 84.

She met and married Y. Jack Barnett in 1956, who preceded her in death; loving mother of Mark (Lisa) Barnett, Beth (Mark Liley) Barnett & Amy (John) Lee;  proud gran of Paul (Hanna) Barnett, David (Marissa) Barnett & Anna (Garrick) Mustard; cherished great grandma of Linnea, Clark & Maeva; preceded in death by siblings: Joyce Wright, Connie Hoadley & Joseph Nemec.

Liz earned Bachelor & Master's Degrees in Education from Oakland University and taught children in Waterford Schools from 1973-1996.

Friends may visit First Baptist Church of Clarkston on Saturday, Aug 23 at 10am with a Funeral Service at 11am.

Interment Crescent Hills Cemetery at 2:00pm .
