Elizabeth Jean Gibson

Gibson, Elizabeth Jean, "Betty" age 96 of Clarkston, formerly of Clinton Township died peacefully October 15, 2025.

Adored mother of Karen (Ron) Roby, Kalynn (Steve) Potter, and Judy (Steve) Bogard, loving grandma of Jason Roby, Laura Roby, Nicholas (Libby) Potter, and Trevor (Kelsey) Potter and dearest great grandma of Heidi, Poppy, Joseph Potter, and Dean Thomas. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Gibson, her parents Robert and Elizabeth Adams, and siblings: Robert, Royal, Eleanor, Richard, Ramon, and Ronald Adams.

Born and raised in Detroit, Elizabeth met her husband, Bob, while in high school. The couple married in 1950, and together Betty and Bob, bought their home in Fraser, Michigan, started a family, and together shared 69 beautiful years of marriage. After retirement they moved to Clinton Township, where they enjoyed many years of golf together. Elizabeth was a devoted wife, mom, grandma, aunt, and friend who was dearly loved and will be truly missed.

Family will receive friends at the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston on Monday, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. On Tuesday, Elizabeth will be taken, to Clarkston United Methodist Church 6600 Waldon Road Clarkston, where she will lie in state from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 11:00 am. A private burial will be held at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy.

Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
