Ellen Jean Luke

LUKE, Ellen Jean, of Ortonville; born February 22, 1940, in Detroit; passed away on December 13, 2025, at the age of 85.

Beloved wife of William Luke; loving mother of Todd (Ralinda) Luke, Tammy (Dalynn) Siewert, and Troy (Angela) Luke; proud grandmother of 12; and great grandmother of 2. Preceded in death by parents Charles and Elizabeth Scott, and brothers Keith and Johnny Scott.

Ellen graduated from Ferndale High School and went on to work as a secretary for Director of Personnel for the Clarkston School District. She found great joy in traveling, especially to her cottage in Lexington. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and had a special interest in lighthouses. She was a faithful member of the Auburn Hills Christian Center. Ellen loved the Lord and put her full trust in Him. A woman of strength and a polio survivor, she lived her faith daily and loved God and her family well. Ellen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother who loved her family dearly.

Family will receive friends at the Lewis E. Wint Funeral Home, Clarkston, Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. On Friday, Ellen will be taken to Auburn Hills Christian Center where friends may visit beginning at 9:00 am, with service at 10:00 am. Private Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
