Evalino John Sartor

SARTOR, Evalino John age 91 of Houghton Lake, formerly of Clarkston, died peacefully, surrounded by family on September 5, 2026.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Barbara, his parents, Attilio and Margaret Sartor, and brothers, Luigino and Richard Sartor. Father of Carol Anne (David) Sartor-Duchene, Christine (Brian) Ladd, Michael (Amy) Sartor, Daniel (Anna) Sartor, and Anthony Sartor, grandfather of nine and uncle of many.

Evalino proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Para Trooper.

Evalino owned and operated Attilio Tile for over 50 years, He was known throughout the Metro Detroit area and beyond for his artistic style, craftsmanship and mindfulness in his tile work. His hobbies included helping his family build and design their homes and enjoying his retirement home on Houghton Lake.

Evalino’s Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation services have been entrusted to Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home in Clarkston.

He will be laid to rest with his beloved wife, Barbara, at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
