WIGNER, Gale Lee "Wig";

longtime resident of Waterford; born August 20, 1938 in Alma to Max and Irene Wigner; passed away January 17, 2026 at the age of  87;

Husband of Carol (nee Van Horn) for 65 years;

Father of Cherie (Brian) Fisher and Jim Wigner;

Grandpa of Heather (Cody) Parrow and Jonathan Waltz;

Great grandpa of Lucas, Breanna, Brody, Bo, Scotti and Natalie;

Brother of the late Max (Peg) Wigner, Larry (late Shirley) Wigner, Susan (Greg) Wigner and Gary (Shawn) Wigner;

Brother in law of Donna (late James) Shepard; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Gale was a partner of Van Horn Concrete, retiring as Vice President. He was an active member at First Congregational Church of Clarkston, having served as a church greeter (always with a smile on his face). He and his wife enjoyed spending many winters at The Villages, Florida. Although they vacationed in many countries and even sailed to the Virgin Islands, he also appreciated the serenity of the family cabin in Mio. Gale was an avid skier and golf champion. He will be remembered as a man of many hats. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family.

Friends may visit Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston on Friday, January 30th from 3:00pm-7:00pm.

Memorial Celebration of Life Service Saturday, January 31st at 11:00am at First Congregational Church of Clarkston with visiting directly at church after 10:00am.
