Geretta A. Sanders

Geretta A. Sanders, 82, formerly of Smiths Grove, KY, passed away on October 9, 2025.

The Edmonson County native was a homemaker. She was the daughter of the late George Torrence and Margery Coates Torrence. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Dudley Walker Sanders Jr and her beloved daughter Stacy Lyn Sanders. She is survived by her sons, Shanon Sanders (Phil Johnson) and Dudley Sanders III (Brenda); 2 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and her siblings Mary McDonald and Steve (Bea) Torrence.

Geretta grew up in Brownsville, KY up until 1961 when her and her family moved to Louisville. Once her husband retired, they then settled in Smiths Grove, KY. She enjoyed spending time crafting. She loved to cook, bake and care for her family. She will be deeply missed.
