Glenn Richard Underwood

UNDERWOOD, Glenn Richard; of Clarkston; born February 3, 1939, in Dearborn, Michigan, to Doris and Glenn Underwood; passed away on February 10, 2026, at the age of 87; husband of Mary Lou, father of Suzanne (Tony) Dodoro, David (Nicole) Underwood, Michael (Rachel) Underwood, Lesa (Dale) Matthews, and Jeffery Clark, grandfather of 14, great-grandfather of many; and brother of Charles and Virginia. Preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Doris Underwood, brother, Johnny, and sister, Eva Lou.

Glenn served in the United States Navy both active duty and reserve, earning the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade. He retired with an Honorable Discharge in 1994 with 30 years of service.

Glenn worked in the real estate industry his entire career, retiring as a real estate broker.  He also built homes and had many properties that he rented.  He was a hard-working, generous and caring man with a great work ethic. Glenn enjoyed traveling, wintering in Florida, sailing the ocean, and riding his Harley.  Glenn was an avid musician who could play many different instruments.  He also loved animals and gardening and was a farmer at heart.

Friends may visit Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston, Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 11:30 am until time of service at 12:30 pm. Interment with military honors at 2:00 pm at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
