Gordon Richard Wilson

WILSON, Gordon R., of Auburn Hills, passed away with his family by his side, on Thursday September 24, 2026, at the age of 89. Born in Deckerville, Michigan, he was the son of the late Purdon and Alma (McCully) Wilson.

Beloved husband of the late Barbara Ann Wilson whom he married on July 16, 1966; loving father of David Wilson, Debra Wilson, Holly (Kenny) Wilson, the late Charles Wilson, Mary (Jeff) Schubert and Elizabeth (Terry) Sowder; dearest grandfather of Jasmine (Justin) Weis, Victoria (Austin) Barron, Andrew (Emily) Sowder and Sara Wilson; great grandfather of Cody, Layla, Damian, Conner, Adam, Jack, Penny and Daniel. He also leaves behind his beloved dog and companion Athena.

Gordon owned and operated General Home Maintenance for many years. He loved working in his yard and sharing stories and jokes. He was a very social person, enjoying the time he could spend talking to people telling stories, whether they be true or not. He also had a joy for knowledge and learning new things and always had a wonderful sense of humor that matched his generosity in helping people. He cherished the time he was able to spend with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will truly be missed by his family and friends and all that knew him.

Friends may visit Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston on Friday, October 2nd  from 4:00 – 8:00 pm.

 A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, October 3rd at 4:00 pm with visiting from 3:00 pm until the time of the service. Dinner to follow at Fountains Golf & Banquet Center in Clarkston.

Please wear bright fun clothes for the visitation and service, Gordon wouldn’t want it any other way.
