Inocencio Canales Iii

CANALES, Inocencio III, of Oxford; born May 13, 1957, in Rio Grande City, Texas; passed away on February 26, 2026, at the age of 68.

Beloved husband of Miriam Gonzalez Garza; Loving father of Inocencio (Heather Herrington) Canales IV; Bonus father of Beth Moreno; Stepfather of Ana Karen and Luis Javier Gonzalez of Monterrey, Mexico and Carey Cabral; Proud grandpa of Maria, Ino V, Nito, Marc and Emanuel; Great-grandpa of Kashtyn "Dinero"; Preceded in death by his wife of nearly 40 years, Laurie Ann Canales, and parents Inocencio Jr. and Serapia Canales.

Inocencio attended Pontiac Central high school. He then went on to work at General Motors as a Team Leader, retiring after 42 ½ years. Inocencio will be remembered as a jokester; always looking to make people laugh and spread love. He enjoyed traveling to Texas, making an effort to visit every year. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with family. Inocencio had a deep love for his family and always showed it. He will be deeply missed.

Funeral Service will take place on March 4th at 1:00 PM at the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston. Friends may visit at 12 Noon until the time of service.
