James "Jim" Arthur Reed, Sr.

Reed, James Arthur Sr. "Jim"; of Davisburg; passed away on December 28, 2025; age 86. Loving husband of 66 years to Carolann; devoted father of Gary (Autumn), William (Marlo), Daniel (Lisa), Reginald (Andrea), Leanne, Brian (Amanda), Chanae, and Michael (Lydia); adored grandpa of 32 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Susan Reed, son Trent "TJ" Reed, and brother, David Reed.

Jim started working at Food Town at the age of 15. As a hardworking and motivated young man, he became a dedicated veteran employee, and friend to many at Food Town, retiring in 2001 as the produce manager. He was a devoted husband, dad, grandpa and proud great-grandpa. Jim was a man of faith, integrity and love, who together with his wife, Carolann and their children opened their home to 275 foster care children throughout our area. He was a longtime member of Sashabaw Presbyterian Church and Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and traveling.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 2, 2026, at the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston, from 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm. On Saturday, January 3, 2026, Jim will be taken to Calvary Lutheran Church 6805 Bluegrass Clarkston, where visitation will begin at 9:30 am with Funeral Service beginning at 10:00 am. Private burial will be at Hillview Cemetery, Clarkston.

Memorials may be made to the Calvary Lutheran Church.
