James "Jim" Christopher Bohnsack

BOHNSACK, James Christopher, "Jim" of Clarkston, passed away on May 2, 2026. Loving husband of 42 years to Bridget Higley Bohnsack, dear brother of Jan Bohnsack, dearest brother-in-law of Heather Higley, Jack Higley, Dan Higley, and Jim Higley, and loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Eleanor Bohnsack, and sister-in-law, Maggie Johnson.

Jim spent his entire career in elementary education, specializing in technology. He taught in Iowa, Florida, Illinois, and Michigan, where he was loved by all who had the privilege to know him. In his free time, he enjoyed living on the lake, enjoying the outdoors, boating, and fishing. Family was a big part of Jim's life, including his wonderful nieces and nephews, and his adored Airedale Terrier's!

In accordance with Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place and services were entrusted to the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston, Michigan.
