James H. Smith

SMITH, James H.; "Jim" of Waterford formerly Clarkston & Flushing; passed away Sept. 13, 2025; age 91; husband of Colleen; father of Gary Smith, Charles (Kathy) Smith & Michael Smith; grandpa of David, Matt, Bradley, Katey & Michael; great grandpa of Colet, Josie, Sasha, Kepler & Miles; also, the family guardian, cousin Susan Bartle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Vedia Smith, 6 brothers and 3 sisters.

Jim served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. As a veteran, Jim was a lifetime and active member in VFW #5666 and #1370, as well as the Korean War Veterans Association. He retired from Ameritech as a district manager engineer.

Friends may visit Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston Thursday, September 18th at 12 Noon followed by funeral service at 1:00pm. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tunnel to Towers .
