O'Neal, James Ralph; of Goodrich formerly of Ortonville; born March 14, 1946 in Detroit to Ralph and Helen O'Neal; passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026 surrounded by his wife and daughters; age 80;
Husband of Charlotte (nee Yerge) for 58 years.
Father of Lisa (Robert) Sizeland and Lori (Derek) Moultrup.
Papa of Olivia (fiancé Jacob Turner) Sizeland, Randy Sizeland, Brady Moultrup and Jesse Moultrup.
Brother of the late Barbara (late Sherman) Ellis, Chuck (Carol) O'Neal, Pat (Penny) O'Neal, Gary (Cheryl) O'Neal, Dan O'Neal and Diane (Carl) Adams. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his Westie Terrier, Bogart.
Jim graduated from Clarkston High School in 1964 and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a master plumber for Plumbers Local 98 and was the Groveland Township/Brandon Township plumbing inspector for many years. Jim will be remembered as an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed golfing, boating, hunting and fishing. He was a member of Bay County Conservation and Gun Club and played on softball and bowling leagues. Many memories were made on Secord Lake, Gladwin. Jim was a dedicated husband, father and grandpa. His grandchildren treasured their time with him, especially fishing and tubing with their papa.
Friends may visit Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston on Wednesday, May 20th from 4:00pm-8:00pm.
Funeral Service Thursday, May 21st, 12:30 pm at Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston.
Interment with military honors at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly Thursday, May 21st at 2:30 pm.
Memorials may be made to Michigan Parkinson Foundation.
