James "Wayne" Cobb

COBB, James “Wayne”; of Clarkston formerly of Utica; born October 22, 1950 in Marion, Kentucky; passed away August 22, 202 at the age of 75.

Husband of Thresia “Tracey” for 56 years, proving blind dates can be worthwhile.

Father of Frank Cobb. Grandpa of Kyley, Hayley, Kayley and Joseph.

Brother of Tracy (Richard) Goodrich. Uncle of Jontel, Antonio, Tristan and Arthur.

Brother in law of Matthew (Michele) Frasier. Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Joan Cobb; great nephew Logan; brother in laws: Terry, Donovan and Travis Frasier.

Wayne graduated from Madison Heights High School and was an auxiliary officer with Hazel Park Police Department. He joined the Oakland County Sheriff’s Dept in 1978 and served as a sheriff’s deputy for 42 years. He continued to help the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department part time in the courts after retirement. Wayne was an avid outdoorsman and especially appreciated being in the woods while hunting and camping. He was a member of the Blue Knights Chapter 4 motorcycle club. He was an animal lover and loved the family cat, Marley.

Friends may visit Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston on Friday, August 28th from 4:00pm-8:00pm.

Funeral Service Saturday, August 29th at 10:00am at the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston (livestream provided).

Graveside service Ottawa Park Cemetery, Clarkston.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
