Jan's legacy began at an early age when she met the love of her life at their church. When Jan and Roy married, they began the adventure of a lifetime. In her late 20's, Jan experienced a life-transforming encounter with Jesus Christ. It propelled her to express her faith by caring for her family full time and participating in dynamic ministry in congregations in California, Pennsylvania, Nebraska and New Jersey. When her children were grown, Jan earned her college degree and Master of Divinity. She was ordained as a pastor in the Presbyterian Church, U.S.A. She served with her husband Roy as co-pastors of First Presbyterian Church, Pontiac, MI for 11 years, retiring in 2011. Jan embodied her Christian faith in everyday life. She was a powerful communicator of the good news of Jesus Christ, speaking words of encouragement and hope to everyone she met. People admired Jan's integrity, spirit, and playfulness.
