Jeffrey K. Vaught

VAUGHT, Jeffrey Kevin, of Clarkston, passed away on July 2, 2026, at the age of 69.

Jeff was born in Pontiac, Michigan, on April 12, 1957, the son of Helen (Deason) Vaught and the late Amos Vaught. He was the beloved husband of Lori for 40 years; loving father of Cory (Kayla, daughter Hadley) Vaught and Carly Vaught; and proud grandfather of his pride and joy, Willem Jeffrey Vaught. He was the dearest brother of Michael (Diane) Vaught, Deby Epling, Cindi (the late Ken) Lysiak, and the late Kelly Vaught-Scala. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who loved him dearly.

Jeff grew up in Waterford and graduated from Waterford Mott High School, Class of 1975. On September 6, 1985, he married his best friend and the love of his life, Lori L. Lane, in Waterford, Michigan.

Jeff dedicated over 50 years of his life to West Bloomfield Schools as a Maintenance Technician and was still proudly working there at the time of his passing. He was a true handyman who could fix just about anything and was always willing to help. He was also a Master Locksmith, a Journeyman Roofer, and skilled in more ways than most people could count.

In his free time, Jeff enjoyed working on his cars, woodworking, watching NASCAR, target shooting at the gun range, and taking care of his yard. He will also be remembered for his beautiful goldfish pond, his immaculate yard, and the pride he took in caring for his home.

Above all, Jeff loved his family. He was deeply loved by those who knew him and will be remembered for his strength, kindness, humor, and the quiet ways he showed up for the people he cared about.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
