Jin "Jay" Hong

HONG, Jin Kyou "Jay"; of Clarkston formerly of Rochester; passed away suddenly on July 18, 2024 due to an accident; age 41;

high school sweetheart / husband of Helen "Elena"; father of Jayden; son of Soon Joo and Min Ja Hong; son in law of Mia and John Ionescu; big brother of Nahee (Justin) Thompson; uncle of Leo Thompson.

Jay graduated from Rochester High School in 2002 and worked with his family at Pro Clean Laundry and Dry Cleaning in Flint Twp. He had an exquisite sense of style and enjoyed shopping, especially for shoes. Jay was an avid gun enthusiast and was an expert at target shooting and night vision. He taught gun safety and was an alum of MDFI (Michigan Defensive Firearms Institute). Jay enjoyed motorcycling and especially enjoyed being around family and friends.

Friends may visit Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral  Home, Clarkston on Monday, July 22nd from 3:00pm-5:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm.

Funeral Service Tuesday, July 23rd at 10:00am at Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston.

Graveside service at All Saints Cemetery, Clarkston.

In lieu of flowers, any donations to the family will be used for Jayden's future education.
