Joann Berger

BERGER, Joann; of Clarkston; passed away on January 1, 2026, at the age of 89. Reunited with her husband Ron Berger. Mother of Debee (Troy) Pointer, Denise (Dennis) Carr, David (Carol) Berger, and Darren (Margaret) Berger; Grandmother of Bryce (Sam), Addi (John), Derek (Kristin), Devon (Becca), Emily (Chris), Grant, Ethan (Brittanie), Mya, Remington, Wyatt, and Georgia; Great Grandmother of Kurry, Korbin, Brynlee, Emry, Mac, Leo, Luke, Wes, Edie, and Thomas; Preceded in death by her siblings Robert and Joyce, and her parents Donald and Helen Downer.

Joann was a very kind person. She loved to read and listen to popular music. She really enjoyed gardening and planting flowers. But most importantly Joann loved her family and loved being a grandmother to all her grand and great grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held for Joann on Wednesday the 7th at 11am at St. Daniel's Catholic Church. The rosary service will begin at 10:00am. Visitation will begin at 10:30am.  A Cemetery Service will take place immediately after at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army .
