Joanne S. Fahey

FAHEY, Joanne S. of Clarkston formerly of Hastings and Redford Twp.

Born February 22, 1948 in Hastings to Rev. Hubert Karl and Viva Karl.

Entered eternal life suddenly on September 23, 2026 of natural causes at the age of 78.

High School sweetheart and loving wife of Ed for 55 years.

Mother of Stephanie (Chris) Rothrock, Karl “Marty” (Sunny) Fahey and Terry Fahey.

Grandma of Damon, Tyson, Jayce, Isaac, Caleb and Silas.

Preceded in death by her parents and her sisters: Diane Karl and Sandra Wiley.

Joanne graduated third in her large class from Redford Union High School, where she performed with the high school orchestra. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Taylor University and Master’s Degree in education from Oakland University.

Joanne was an elementary teacher with Waterford Schools for over 15 years.

She enjoyed gardening, quilting, cooking, reading and was a talented violinist.

Joanne loved spending time with her family.

Friends may visit at the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston on Sunday, Sept. 27th from 4:00pm-8:00pm.

Funeral Service Monday, Sept. 28th at 1:00pm at Waterford Community Church where family and friends may visit directly at the church at 12 Noon.

Interment Christian Memorial Cemetery, Rochester Hills.
