John F. Doherty

DOHERTY, John Franklin; of Holly; passed away on August 27, 2024; at the age of 63. Loving husband of Shelly Doherty for over 20 years; stepfather of Matthew (Becca Hoskins-Weil) and Bradley Hoskins; son of Joyce Doherty; brother of Ed Doherty, Scott Doherty, and Kimberly (Mike) Brown; uncle of Emma, Jake, and David; preceded in death by his father Vaughn Doherty.

John was a proud veteran of the U.S Air Force serving as a Tactical Aircraft Mechanic. He had graduated from Pontiac High School and later earned himself an Associate's degree at Oakland University. He worked for Henniges Automotive for 26 years. John loved his garden, hunting, and the great Michigan outdoors. John also loved his dog very much, but most importantly, he loved his family.

A visitation will take place for John on Saturday the 31st from 11am to 12pm at the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston. A Funeral Service will be held at 12pm.
