John H. Ostrander

OSTRANDER, John H. "Jack" of West Bloomfield; passed away on August 18, 2023; age 92.  Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Jean, his parents John and Mary Helen Ostrander, brother, Al Ostrander and sisters-in-law, Marty and Mary Ostrander. He is survived by siblings, Donald Ostrander and Dorothy (Gerald) Klein.  Loving father of Janet (Al) Smith, John Ostrander and Jimmy (Aneila) Ostrander.  Proud grandfather Jack of David Jeremy Smith, Christopher Smith, Danielle Smith, Josh Ostrander and Joel Ostrander.  Great grandfather Jack of Joshua Smith, Jackson Smith, Stella Smith, Anelia Ostrander and Wesley Ostrander.

Jack graduated from Pontiac Central High School and Ferris State University.  He was a Pharmacist and owner of Ostrander's Pharmacy, Pontiac.  He was a member at Central United Methodist Church and the Pontiac Yacht Club.  Jack enjoyed sailing, fishing, hunting, golf and being a Commodore at the Yacht club.  Jack served in the United States Navy, Grosse Ile, MI.

Memorial Service Saturday, August 26th at the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston where friends may visit at 9 am, with service starting at 10:00 am.  Graveside service will follow at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.

Memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation , Leukemia Foundation or Henry Ford Hospice.
