John Anthony Scroi

SCROI, John A.; of Oxford, MI; born January 1, 1947, in Detroit, MI to Jack and Stella Scroi; passed away on November 12, 2025, at the age of 78.

Beloved husband of Geraldine for 56 years; Loving father of Ken (Lauren) Scroi, Dave (Laura) Scroi, and Laura (Nick) Armstrong; Proud grandfather of Zach, Connor, Katherine, Dylan, Bradley, Steven, Adam, and Mark; Dear brother of Bill (Lynda), Carol (Chester), and Russ (Barb). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

John was a devoted Catholic throughout his entire life. He proudly served 7 years of honorable service in the U.S. Army. After his service, he earned his associates degree from Henry Ford College and went on to work at DTE Energy for 42 years, where he was recognized with the Alex Dow Award for an innovative company idea. John found great joy in spending time and caring for his grandchildren. He enjoyed watching them play sports, mowing the lawn, and everything computers. He loved to travel and was blessed to have taken family vacations to Hawaii, Florida, the Carolinas, cruises in the Caribbean and camping all over Michigan with the Fireside Campers group. John was an avid University of Michigan and Lions football fan. He will be remembered as a caring, hardworking man who was always eager to help when a problem needed to be solved.

John deeply loved his family, was loved in return and will truly be missed.

Family and friends may visit the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston on Sunday, November 16th from 2:00 to 6:00 pm.

Visiting at St. Daniel Catholic Church, Clarkston on Monday, November 17th at 10:30 am with Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.
