John "Jay" Zian Jr.

ZIAN Jr., John "Jay"; of Waterford; born on August 7, 1954; passed away on July 10, 2025, at the age of 70. Loving father of Josh (Melissa) Zian and the Late Jacob Zian; Grandfather of Joey Zian; former husband of Annette (Mike) Krecek; Dear friend of Robin Lovett; preceded in death by his sister Elaine Marinescu and his parents John and Lena Helen Zian.

Jay grew up on Silver Lake, where he enjoyed spending his time on the water, fishing, ice fishing, boating and water skiing. As an adult Jay was an avid walleye fisherman on the St. Clair River, and enjoyed a good fish fry. He was an excellent bowler!  Jay had numerous 300 games and has the rings to prove it!  He was a huge Detroit sports fan, especially UofM. Something you might not know about Jay; he used to be a skydiver. He loved Jesus very much. Jay had been very active with the First Missionary Church of Clarkston for the past several years. He worked at General Motors as a Welder for 38 years and he was proud of that accomplishment. Jay also loved his truck and his fishing boat. But most importantly he loved his family, especially his grandson Joey.

A Memorial Service will be held for Jay on Saturday July 26th at 12pm at First Missionary Church. Friends may arrive any time after 11am. Memorial donations may be made to First Missionary Church . Please consider leaving a memory or condolence on Jay's online guestbook below.
