Joseph W. Carr, Sr.

CARR, Joseph Sr. "Joe" age 68 of Clarkston died unexpectedly, on October 19, 2024.

Beloved husband of Christie; caring father of Joe Jr. (Airion), Christen, Ken, Natalie (Jason) and Veronica (Andy); loving Papa of 10, and dear brother of Zelma (Dale), Steve (Cindy), Keith (Diane), Pat (Kathy), and brother in-law Trent (Sue).  He was preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Corrine and two siblings Harvey and Debbie.

Joe worked at the Oakland County Road Commission, retiring with 22 years of service. He was an active member and current President of the Waterford Goodfellows, helping children and families in the area for many years. He was formerly a volunteer in the Waterford Fire Department, and was always ready and willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Joe enjoyed spending time up north with his family and was a loving and devoted Papa Joe who will be dearly missed by all.

In accordance with Joe's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Visitation will be held to honor the life and legacy of Joe at the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, in Clarkston on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Joe's name to the Waterford Goodfellows, P.O. Box 301196, Waterford, MI 48330, so they may continue his work of charity to area families in need during the holiday season.
