CHINAVARE, Kathleen M.; born February 22, 1947 to Robert and Gladys Anderson in Monroe, MI;  of Clarkston; passed away suddenly on October 4, 2023 at the age of 76;

preceded in death by her husband Ernie; mother of Andy (Linda) Chinavare and Nichole (Scott) Worth; Mémère (grandmother) of Ben, Alex, Abe, Nate, Rose, Lucy and Mary; sister of Jim (Sherrie) Anderson and the late Fred Anderson; sister in law of Susan (Dale) Dolesh.

Kathy earned a Bachelor's  Degree in Education from Alma College, and a Master's Degree in Religious Education from SS Cyril & Methodius Seminary. She had worked at St. Daniel Catholic Church, Clarkston as Asst. Director of Religious Education until 1996 and then from1996-2013 taught theology at Notre Dame Preparatory School. She was a Master Gardener and enjoyed utilizing her talents at her home doing yardwork and volunteering as a gardener at the Detroit Zoo. She enjoyed  reading and spending time with her family, their dogs, and especially her grandchildren. She graciously opened her home annually for over 30 years to her children's high school friends for the annual "Taco Night" gathering.

Memorial Visitation Thursday, October 12th at 11:00 am at St. Daniel Catholic Church, Clarkston.

Memorial Mass Thursday, October 12th at 12 Noon at St. Daniel Catholic Church, Clarkston.

Inurnment Lakeview Cemetery.

Cremation services entrusted to Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston.

Memorials may be made to Notre Dame Preparatory School, 1300 Giddings Road, Pontiac, MI 48340.
