Larry D. Cottrell

COTTRELL, Larry D.; of Waterford; passed away on April 22, 2024 at the age of 84. He will be reunited with his wife Sharon; father of David (Mary) Cottrell, James (Pomalu) Cottrell, and Paul (Deborah) Cottrell; grandfather of Heather (Jacob) Fischer, Michelle (Casey) Starick, Carlee (Graham) Lindman, Noah Cottrell, and Aaron Cottrell; great grandfather of Connor Starick, Zachary Starick, and Harvey Fischer; brother of Glenn Cottrell and Lynn Brown; preceded in death by his wife, his parents Lester and Letha Cottrell; also survived by his blended family, Thomas (Barb) Schaefer; grandchildren Thomas Jr. (Kerry) Schaefer and Brooke (David) Donnay; great grandchildren Heidi Schaefer, Holly Schaefer, Isabella Donnay, Ellaina Donnay, Josefina Donnay, and his dear friend Patricia Zycynski.

Larry was a hard-working man who retired from General Motors after 45 years. He was also a Freemason and a Shriner for most his adult life. While he wasn't working hard, Larry was piloting his own airplane. He loved to snowmobile, read, and watch movies. Larry was also a huge gun enthusiast. But above all else, Larry loved his family. Family was very important to him.

A visitation will be held on Thursday the 25th from 3pm to 8pm at the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston. A Funeral Service will take place on Friday the 26th at 1pm at the Funeral Home.
