entered life on June 2, 1953 in Hillsborough, FL to Donald and Mary "Evelyn" Smith;

entered eternal life on December 5, 2024 at the age of 71;

of Hale, Michigan formerly of Clarkston and Waterford;

husband of Jan (nee Hall) Smith for almost 51 years;

father of Doug (Dawn Anders) Smith and Darrell (Katherine) Smith;

son of Evelyn (late Donald) Smith;

grandpa "Papa" of 11: Cody, Kayla, Kyanne, Thomas, Maiya, Kayla, Libby, Kimberlyn, Andrew, Chloe and Amelia;

great papa of Beckham, Armani, Easton, Eliana and two on the way;

brother of Theresa (Carl) Urwin and Donna (Donald) Farnsworth;

son in law of the late Del and Nina Hall;

brother in law of  Fred (Ann Marie) Hall, Tom (Mary) Hall, Jeff Hall, Ted Hall and Lorna (Richard) Skipworth;

Larry was a welder mechanic for 18 years at Ryder Corp and in 1996 began working in construction/ cabinet refacing. He was a member of Hale Methodist Church. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and spending time vacationing and RV camping. Larry recently became an avid reader.

Friends may visit Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston on Wednesday, December 11th from 4:00pm-8:00pm.

Funeral Service Thursday, December 12th at 12:30pm at the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston with visiting after 11:30am.

Interment at Ottawa Park Cemetery, Clarkston at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Toys for Tots .
