Lee Strine

Ellsworth (Lee) Strine, 88 of Beaverton, sadly passed away on Tuesday September 2, 2025 in Clarkston, Michigan. Lee was born in Pontiac MI on September 22, 1936, son of late Ellsworth P. and Gertrude (Grovesteen) Strine. He married Joan (Passmore) Strine in March 9, 1963. They spent 52 loving years together.

Lee worked for GM Truck and Bus for 32 years until his retirement. He proudly served in the Army for over two years and stationed in Germany. He loved hunting, Fishing, Golfing, bowling and playing cards. He treasured socializing with friends, neighbors and family in Florida and in Beaverton at Wixom Lake.

Lee is survived by his two sons, Aaron (Kelly) Strine of Shelby Township and Karl (Linda) Strine of Davison; Two grandsons Luke Strine (Fiancé Emmersyn LaPrise) and Andrew (Bailey) Sutherland; Two Great Granddaughters Emersyn and Lainey Sutherland. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews and several dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Joan, Parents, Brothers Gene and Alan Strine, Brother-in-law, Ron Passmore, Sisters-in-law Pat, Lilian, Dee and Barb Passmore.

A Memorial Service will be held for Lee on Saturday, September 13, at 3pm at the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston. Family and friends may arrive any time after 2pm.
