Linda Lea Beardslee

Beardslee, Linda Lea, of Clarkston, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, at the age of 85. Linda was born in Pontiac, MI on February 18, 1940 to the late Jewell and Ermal Spangler. She was raised in Clarkston, and attended Clarkston High School, where she graduated with honors in 1958. After graduation she went to work in a medical office. In 1959, she married her high school sweetheart, Lee Beardslee. They welcomed two daughters, Sheri and Penny. In 1967, they launched Beardslee Sand and Gravel, where Linda ran the office from their home, while raising their family. Linda was a very devoted wife and mother. Together, they worked hard and grew the company into a thriving business, which later became Beardslee Excavating. Sadly, Lee passed away in 1996. Linda no longer wished to run the business, so her daughter and son in law took it over. She spent the next few years doing some traveling. She also enjoyed baking, shopping, decorating and gardening, but mostly, she just loved to spend time with her family. That is where she found the most joy. She will be dearly missed by those who loved her.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Sheri (Ken) Schulte and Penny(Steve) Sawyer; beloved grandchildren, Amanda(Jake) North, Lindsay(Eric)Knudson, Shelby (Wes) McBride and Tanner Schulte; 6 great grandchildren; Sawyer and Finn North, Kollyns and Tate Knudson, and Baker and Bodie McBride. Also survived by her sister Janet (Ed) Glennie and sisters in law, Tina Spangler and Liz  Spangler. Also survived by Blair and Mike Schweitzer. She is preceded in death by her parents Jewell and Ermal Spangler; husband Lee Beardslee, and brothers Don and Doug Spangler.

Visitation Friday, December 26, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston. Funeral Service Saturday, December 27th at 12:30 pm at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Clarkston next to beloved Lee.

Memorial donations may be directed to either the Alzheimer's Association or to the American Cancer Society in Linda's name.
